‘Hitler of Bahia’ Led Digital Crimes and Served in the Army

Defense denies the charges and says the defendant has shown willingness to cooperate with authorities

Luís Alexandre de Oliveira Lessa, 20, has been in pretrial detention in Salvador (Bahia) since November 2024, accused of digital crimes such as virtual rape, incitement to self-harm, trafficking of child pornography, cyberbullying, stalking, and psychological violence against women.

According to the investigation, the São Paulo Public Prosecutor’s Office states that Lessa was known on online forums by the nicknames “Sagaz” and “Hitler of Bahia.” He is identified as one of the leaders of a hate community on platforms like Discord and Telegram.

According to the investigation, in one of his posts he says: “Do you really think that I, the Hitler of Bahia, would care?” In another, he refers to girls under 18 as “little nymphets”: “I was already missing showing these little nymphets who’s still in charge.”

At the time, Lessa was a soldier and used to show off his uniforms and army photos in these communities. In a statement, the Armed Forces said he had been serving since early 2024.

His defense denies the charges and says he has shown willingness to cooperate with authorities.
