Sometimes it’s good to stop; shutting up what you say, knowing how to listen; look forward tired of us. When you can truly stop, you see life as it can be – not as it is. And you really need to stop, so you don’t run towards someone who doesn’t have the legs to walk. There is a spoiled conversation today about everything that “has to be”. Because it was already like this, because it will be like this and will continue, because nothing can be done, because nothing matters… It’s not generational; It really is the spirit of the time. There is some dominant art that knows how to rock; giving glue and meaning to what has no meaning. States do this, capital too… we do this to each other – and to ourselves.
War doesn’t have to be; hatred, exploitation, destruction and the abyss… It’s not cool, it’s not; and it doesn’t have to be. This year, in Macau, I realized at a conference that never on the planet have we consumed as much coal and oil as we do now. I mean… does it really have to be? There’s nothing; in fact, it cannot be. We know not; and, at the same time, we explain that it has to be this way. Because of this, and that; and what no one else notices. It’s curious.
It’s worth stopping; go back a few years, think again. Quantum physics, in the 1960s, showed us that cells have behaviors that, theoretically, are impossible; that is, inexplicable. For example, when two bodies occupy the same space; or when they change behaviors just because they are being observed. What can we prove about this? What is happening there, before our eyes, but in reality it is not, because it is not possible; therefore, it does not exist. The philosophical conclusion is different: if the presupposition is not proven; therefore, there is no thesis. In other words, if it is happening, but it is not possible; or if it has to be like this, when after all it could be different, then truths cannot be imposed. Reason cannot be a goddess. Someone said to me with grace – and their eyes fixed on the ceiling: I have lost faith in the word; that is, in the dogma of reason.
Given this situation, the ethical proposal also seemed inevitable; he had everything to win. But it also went bankrupt – and within a few decades. In fact, it was realized at the time, if there is no truth, then no one can own theirs. And, if on the other side, there can be any reason, which on this side doesn’t make sense, for some the ethical relationship remains: how does one reason – or lack thereof – get along with the other, if there is such a thing? . If the relationship is one of conflict, hatred, fear; or if, on the other hand, it is one of seduction and sharing… these are personal and/or collective decisions. It’s not because we have to think, or understand, that it has to be like this.
It was cool to reset. Really cool. Stop and start again.
