Speaking to Macau News Agency after a breakfast meeting hosted by the France-Macau Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, the president of international business development said that “some normal competition is necessary if it is to make society or the industry better”.
On the political front, Zhang stressed the importance of seeking synergies at a time when political differences could get in the way.
He was responding to a question from the floor about the growing defensive relations between the European Union and China in high technology.
