Macau Peninsula records highest one-hour rainfall of 65mm

During the three hours when the red rain warning was in effect, the highest one-hour rainfall recorded was 65 millimeters in Macau Peninsula, 39.2 millimeters in Taipa and 41.8 millimeters in Coloane

According to the Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau, low-lying areas were flooded, with a maximum of 26 centimeters.

Weather forecasters said a broad band of clouds was now covering the southern coast of China, with thunderstorms affecting Guangdong province, and that more clouds and squalls with some thunderstorms were expected under the influence of a trough of low pressure later in the week.
