The kick-off ceremony for the Health Monitoring Stations was held at the Galaxy Macao™ integrated resort, with the presence of esteemed guests, including representatives from the Health Bureau of the Macao SAR Government. Equipped with health monitoring devices, the stations enable team members to assess their physical health parameters on-site, such as height, weight, heart rate, blood pressure, and body mass index.
GEG aims to enhance team members’ understanding of their health status and encourage proactive management of their well-being. During the ceremony, GEG showcased additional health-promotion initiatives and provided delegates with an overview of WHS integration into daily operations through staff canteens and WHS information display boards.
GEG has implemented several health-promoting measures since participating in the Healthy Enterprise Program. These include introducing healthy dishes in staff canteens, promoting low sugar, salt, and fat recipes, as well as engaging team members in moderate exercise and stretching during leisure time.
The company actively disseminates WHS information through posters, notice boards, televisions in back-of-house areas, and the internal mobile application “GEG Buzz” to enhance team members’ knowledge on health and disease prevention.
GEG has a longstanding commitment to WHS awareness, organizing activities and training programs for team members. Collaborating with the Guangdong Performance Industry Association, GEG introduced the “GEG Event Occupational Safety Card Certification Program” to Macao, benefiting over 40 team members of Galaxy Arena.
Additionally, GEG partnered with the Labour Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government to conduct stretching workshops, WHS roadshows, and first-aid seminars, with participation from over 3,000 team members. Since 2018, GEG has co-organized the Hotel and Catering Occupational Safety Card Training Program, with over 15,000 team members completing the training.
GEG remains dedicated to supporting the health and WHS policies of the Macao SAR Government, contributing to the development of a “Healthy Macao.”
