Eriksson shocks the football world with terminal cancer: “I may have a year to live”

In an interview with Swedish radio, Sven-Göran Eriksson, former Benfica coach and English coach, revealed that he has, “at best, a year to live”, after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.

“I may have, at best, a year to live. In the worst case, even less. Or at best, I suppose even more so. I think doctors cannot give absolute certainty about this”, revealed Sven-Göran Eriksson, in an interview with Swedish radio P1.

The former coach of Benfica, Roma, Lazio, Manchester City and the English national team, among many others, explained that he learned of the diagnosis after fainting following a 5-kilometer run.
