Passengers traveling to Hong Kong Airport from the Macau border control point at the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Port will now be able to reach the restricted area of Hong Kong Airport without transferring or crossing the border again.

The Macau Tourism Office (MGTO) has announced its active plans to promote and encourage travelers from countries and regions without direct flights to Macau to utilize the Hong Kong route for transit. This strategic move aims to expand international visitor sources.

MGTO intends to invite overseas travel industry professionals and influencers to experience the cross-border bus service between Hong Kong and Macau. This promotion will be conducted through online platforms and offline events. MGTO also plans to collaborate with Hong Kong authorities to enhance promotions in Hong Kong hotels, enticing overnight visitors to extend their trips to Macau and fostering integrated travel between the two regions.

According to statistics from the Census and Statistics Bureau, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Port has secured its position as the second-largest land-based port of entry to Macau. At the same time, the Border Gate Port remains the leading port in terms of passenger traffic.
