SJM Holdings turns around adjusted EBITDA loss in H1

SJM Holdings has announced net gaming revenue of HKD8.695 billion (MOP8.95 billion/ US$1.11 billion) for the first half of 2023, up 128 per cent from the equivalent period last year.

In an unaudited announcement made on Monday, the casino operator said that it had made HKD461 million in adjusted EBITDA in that period, versus a loss of HKD 1.176 billion booked last year.

Meanwhile, losses attributable to its owns narrowed to HKD1.26 billion from HKD2.757 billion.

SJM said that it had an 11.8 per cent share of the city’s gaming revenue, including 14.9 per cent of gaming revenue from mass-market tables, as well as a 3.5 per cent of VIP casino revenue.
