In turn, inequality fell slightly, with 1 percent of the population accumulating 44.5 percent of wealth, and in 2021 this percentage was at 45 percent. This decline in world wealth was concentrated in North America and Europe.
In the opposite direction, in economies such as Brazil, Mexico, India and Russia, there was an increase in wealth.
The same report, which has been produced for 14 years by the beautiful bank, which is part of the Swiss UBS, also estimates that global wealth will grow by 38 percent over the next five years.
