Macau delegates promote tourism offerings in Singapore

Macau has recently dispatched representatives to a travel agents’ fair in Singapore in its latest push to attract foreign visitors.

According to a press release from the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), the local delegates – including MGTO Deputy Director Cheng Wai Tong and representatives on behalf of 10 enterprises – attended the the National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (NATAS) Holidays Fair between 11 and 13 August.

The first day of the fair saw a networking session between Macau and Singaporean representatives to explore cooperation and exchange views on potential products.

“Running a booth in the 20,000-square-metre exhibition space of the NATAS Holidays Fair 2023, MGTO promoted Macau’s world heritage, events, hotel facilities and leisure travel experiences, in a showcase of the diverse destination,” said the MGTO.

Thanks to air connectivity, Singapore stands in the top 10 sources of foreign visitors for Macau. Before Covid in 2019, as many as 115,742 travellers flew to the city from the city state.
