Beijing sends special representative to Kiev and Moscow

The People’s Republic of China today announced the dispatch on Monday of a special representative to Ukraine, Russia and other European countries to analyze “political rules” for the war in Ukraine.

“From May 15 (Monday), Ambassador Li Hui, Chinese Special Representative for Eurasian Affairs, will travel to Ukraine, Poland, France, Germany and Russia to meet with all parties on ‘rules of policies’ for the Ukrainian crisis,” Wang Wenbin, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, told a press conference in Beijing.

This year, Beijing presented a first diplomatic initiative on the war in Ukraine, but a large number of Western countries considered that the People’s Republic of China did not have a definitive solution and that the proposal lacked definition.
