Arrested last week on suspicion of tampering with vaccination certificates, the former assistant to Jair Bolsonaro, Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Cid, was investigated for money laundering.
He was arrested on Thursday (4) at his residence, in Vila Militar, in Brasília, for allegedly tampering with Bolsonaro’s Covid vaccination card and his 12-year-old daughter, Laura.
Images released on Sunday (7) by the program Fantástico, on TV Globo, show that the military man had thousands of dollars and reais hidden in his home safe, which he tried to hide from Federal Police agents.
According to the PF, the military would have withdrawn the money from a bank account in dollars in March, in the state of Florida, United States, where Bolsonaro was at the time.
