GD News

The Pazhou Ferry Terminal in Haizhu district of Guangzhou, which is about 8 minutes walk from the Canton Fair Complex, will be temporarily open during the upcoming Canton Fair. The visa-on-arrival service will also be available at the Terminal from April 15, said Luo Zheng, deputy director of Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau, at a press conference held on April 12.

Under the approval of the Ministry of Transport, the Terminal will open direct routes from Pazhou to Hong Kong International Airport and Hong Kong city centre. Next, it plans also to add routes to Macao International Airport.

The Terminal has three floors. The first floor will be used for check-in and security, the second for outbound travellers, and the third for inbound passengers. It will only take about two hours to travel from Pazhou to Hong Kong International Airport.

Pazhou Ferry Terminal is near the Canton Fair Complex and Pazhou Station on Metro Line 8. According to Guangzhou Municipal Transportation Bureau authorities, the city will add more trains on Metro Line 8 and Line 4 during the Canton Fair, and two temporary buses from the Canton Fair Complex to Huanshi Middle Road in Yuexiu District and Liuhua Road in Liwan District.

Besides, a special shuttle bus will also be added from the Complex to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. The opening hour from the Airport to the Complex is scheduled from 9:30 to 16:00, while that from the Complex to the Airport is from 11:00 to 18:00.

The 133rd China Import and Export Fair (also known as the Canton Fair) will fully resume offline this year in Guangzhou from April 15 to May 5 in three phases, each lasting five days.

According to Luo, the 9th Guangzhou Annual Investment Conference will also kick off at Guangzhou Baiyun International Conference Center from April 17 to 18.
