In other words, they have their source of wealth linked to Macau’s gambling industry, even though they are not on the list of Macau billionaires because they are not Macau citizens.
Thus, leading this group, occupying the list, in position 35, is Miriam Adelson (USA), widow of Sheldon Adelson, the founder of Las Vegas Sands. Her net worth is estimated at 35 billion.
Lui Che Woo (Hong Kong), from casino operator Galaxy, is in 128th position, with a fortune of 13.9 billion. In the previous year’s list, his net worth was 12.8 billion.
Pansy Ho (Hong Kong), president of Shun Tak Holdings and with investments in casinos, is ranked 787 with a wealth of 3.6 billion when in the 2022 listing it appeared with 3.4 billion.
Steve Wynn’s (US) $3.2 billion puts him at number 905 on the FORBES list, while Angela Leong (Hong Kong) of SJM Holdings is number 1104 with a net worth of $2.7 billion. For his part, Lawrence Ho (Hong Kong), from Melco Resorts, appears in 2259th place with 1.2 billion.
