A 36-year-old woman was found alive inside a tomb in the municipal cemetery in the city of Visconde do Rio Branco, in the Minas Gerais forest zone, this Tuesday (28). The Civil Police of Minas Gerais stated that the victim was buried for revenge because of a mistake related to a firearm.
“She pointed out two suspects, who were duly identified. At this time, both the Civil and Military Police are looking for the two perpetrators with a view to arresting them in flagrante delicto”, said delegate Diego Candian Alves, from the Regional Civil Police Station in Ubá.
The woman told agents she had stashed drugs and weapons for the pair, but it was stolen before she found them. Therefore, according to her, she was physically assaulted and taken to the cemetery.
The victim reported that two hooded men broke into her home and assaulted her. She further said that she was with her husband at the time of the approach, but that he managed to escape, and has not yet been located.
From then on, the woman said she didn’t remember anything else, until she woke up in the tomb. There is still no information on how long she stayed there.
