The Public Works Bureau has received six bids for the design and construction of the Light Rapid Transit East Line northern section.
A Public Works Bureau update says today that all the six bids for the design and building of the infrastructure had been accepted, with quotations for the project ranging between MOP4.473 billion and MOP5.136 billion.
All the tenderers proposed a project duration of 1,350 days, shorter than the government estimate of 1,500 days.
Another tender opening event for the south section of the 7.7-kilometre East Line will take place in two days.
The north section measures 2.9 kilometres in length and includes three underground stations (ES1, ES2 and ES3), while the south one is 4.8 kilometres long and includes three underground stations (ES4, ES5 and ES6).
The authority expects that the construction of the section can be completed by 2028.
