Good performance of the game in Macau is still insufficient to talk about full recovery

André Jegundo

Despite the good performance of gambling in the first six days of the Chinese New Year it is still early to talk about a full recovery of the sector.

This is what analyst Ben Lee says, in statements to TDM-Radio Macau.

The mass market was the one that obtained the best performance. However, Ben Lee says that many doubts remain about the ability of the ‘Premium Mass and VIP’ sectors to boost the recovery of the gaming sector.

For Ben Lee however there are encouraging signs for the sector coming out of China, namely the feeling that there is a relaxation in the “anti-gambling crusade” from the authorities’ side.
