Cristiano Ronaldo is now a player for Al Nassr, from Saudi Arabia, in the first experience of the Portuguese star outside European football. The move to Asia was mediated by Ricardo Regufe and not Jorge Mendes, the businessman who accompanied CR7 in the golden years of his career.
Orfeo Suárez and Esteban Urreiztieta, journalists from El Mundo, revealed some details about the “divorce” between the star and the agent, going back to the moment when Ronaldo said goodbye to Manchester United, shortly before the World Cup in Qatar. “Either you get me Bayern or Chelsea or we break up”, the footballer told Jorge Mendes.
Both doors did not open and both will then have followed different paths. “You’re crazy”, Mendes said to Ronaldo, always according to the aforementioned journalists.
