The Dog Photography Awards is an annual dog photography competition that aims to promote talent from around the world. In the 2022 edition, 1400 participants competed for the four categories – Portrait and Landscape, Action, Studio and Owners and Dogs -, of which the winners are already known.
Among the winning photographs are moments of affection and affection, moments of leisure with the owners and even moments of heroism.
Dalia Fichmann won first place in the Portrait and Landscape category, portraying the importance of dogs in rescuing avalanche victims. “To capture the moment when the dog finds the buried person and digs through the snow, I lay down with the camera in a small, dark ice cave and let the dogs look for me”, says the Swiss photographer.
The annual competition is open to professional photographers, amateurs and photography students from around the world. In addition to recognition and publicity by the media, the winners of each category receive prizes of 500 euros.
