According to US media projections, Warnock, 53, won re-election, beating Republican Herschel Walker, a former American soccer star who is supported by Donald Trump.

Raphael Warnock, meanwhile, supported by former President Barack Obama and seeking re-election, is a pastor of the Martin Luther King Jr. church and Georgia’s first African-American senator.
