In a press release, the authorities say that plans are being made to make those vaccines available to the population.

According to information, the bivalent mRNA vaccines are temporarily approved for use by individuals aged 12 years and older as a booster dose. For the time being, it is not recommended for use for the full vaccination schedule of the initial vaccination series.

The pharmaceutical form of the vaccines for children is the same as the pharmaceutical form for adults, the monovalent mRNA vaccine of the original strain, but the inoculation dose for children is lower than that used for adults.

According to the latest information from the supplier, the two new types of COVID-19 vaccines are expected to arrive in Macau within the current month and the Health Bureau will arrange for the administration of the vaccine to residents after the vaccines arrive in Macau.
