“I confess that when it comes to technology I am just a user”, revealed this Tuesday in Lisbon, at the Web Summit, the first lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, who added that technology has the power to change the world. Just look at what is happening in your country, where Russia is putting technology “at the service of terror”.
Apparently, said Olena Zelenska, the technology is quite simple. “But it’s not enough to save lives,” she pointed out. However, it is enough to kill.
“Russian bombs deliberately choose civilian targets,” said President Volodymyr Zelensky’s wife, who added that the specialties and technical knowledge of people like those participating in the Web Summit are now on the battlefield in Ukraine. However, many others “help the country to recover”, she added, stating that “you can also help to stop this terror”.
On the other hand, “technology, in many ways, has brought us together through social networks”. And it allows people from all over the world to know, as if at first hand, the dimension of the tragedy. Speaking on social networks Olena Zelenska recalled that in these months of war many accounts will never be updated. “Because their owners died.”
