Russia lost more than a quarter of its Ka-50 helicopters

According to British military intelligence services, Russia has lost 23 helicopters and its commanders are increasingly resorting to high-risk missions.

Russia has lost 23 Kamov Ka-50 helicopters since it invaded Ukraine in February, representing about a quarter of its fleet of 90 Ka-50s, the British Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.

In an update to its daily report on the war in Ukraine, British military intelligence said there were verified losses.

They also said that the 23 Ka-50s in question correspond to about half of the helicopters already lost by Russia in Ukraine.
