“It was a great honor to be Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and to be the last to rule with Queen Elizabeth II”, assured Liz Truss in the last speech in front of the iconic number 10.
The outgoing government official also praised the work carried out in the month and a half she was in office. “In a short time, this government acted urgently and decisively alongside working families and companies”, she recalled, referring to the mini-budget she outlined together with the former finance minister, Kwasi Kwarteng.
