Seoul: Ruling party admits canceling 2018 deal with Pyongyang

Faced with the possible realization of yet another nuclear test by North Korea, the People’s Power Party threatens to tear up the agreement signed four years ago aimed at ending hostilities between the two Koreas.

South Korea’s ruling party on Friday threatened to nullify the 2018 end of hostilities pact with Pyongyang if North Korea carries out a new nuclear test. North Korea fired a new short-range ballistic missile early on Friday.

It was the ninth launch in 20 days and was accompanied by air and artillery maneuvers along the border with South Korea, which carried out live-fire exercises on Thursday.
