The second edition of the “928 Challenge”, a competition for startups between Portuguese-speaking countries and China, attracted 249 university and business teams, 70 percent of which are Chinese, the organization said yesterday.
Marco Rizzolio, co-founder of the competition, told Lusa that “there is great interest” from the Chinese in an “international competition, which opens doors to the outside” of the country.
“But there is interest from both sides”, added Rizzolio, stressing that the “928 Challenge” attracted “teams from all Portuguese-speaking countries”, because China “is the second largest market in the world”.
