First provisional results give victory to MPLA with 60.65%

At a time when 33.16 percent of the votes are being counted, the MPLA leads the count with 60.55 percent of the total, equivalent to 1,219,571 valid votes, followed by UNITA with 33.85 percent (680,745 votes) .

The first provisional results, released early this morning, by the spokesman of the National Electoral Commission (CNE), Lucas Quilundo, place the PRS in third position, with 29,526 votes (1.45%), FNLA with 25, 817 votes ( 1.28%), PHA with 21,130 votes (1.05%), CASA-CE with 14,225 votes (0.70%), APN with 10,401 votes (0.51%) and P-Njango with 9,656 votes (0, 48%).
