Macau: vaccination certificate is no longer mandatory for those arriving from abroad

“Individuals, of any age, who intend to board civil transport from abroad, from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region or from the Taiwan Region, to the Macau Special Administrative Region, do not need to present the vaccination certificate against the new type of coronavirus”, informed the authorities.

“However, these individuals entering Macau must have a nucleic acid test certificate with a negative result and comply with the respective provisions regarding medical observation,” said the New Type of Coronavirus Contingency Coordination Center in a statement.

The authorities assured that ending this requirement “does not mean that vaccination is no longer important, but (…) because most people already meet the vaccination requirements”.

In practice, they underlined, “the requirement to present a vaccination certificate is no longer an inconvenience for people wishing to enter Macau”.
