The FBI report, which ABC News says it consulted, states that “the revolver was in good condition and could not be fired without someone pulling the trigger.”
In an interview with ABC News in October of last year, the actor stated that he never pulled the trigger on the gun and that it fired by itself when he released the firing pin.
The police report considered Hutchins’ death to be an accident, as there is “no convincing evidence that the weapon was intentionally loaded with live ammunition”.
So far, the local prosecutor’s office has not pressed charges against Baldwin, who has been charged with involuntary manslaughter or negligence by the victim’s family, and is awaiting to obtain the actor’s phone records.
