Jorge Jesus revealed in an interview with Canal 11 that he never spoke to Sergio Conceição again after the FC Porto-Benfica derby in January 2021.
“We always had a good relationship and I never spoke to him again. It cost me”, said the current Fenerbahçe coach, adding that the relationship with the Dragons’ coach “was not sporting, it was a strong relationship, even of great friends, and it cost me that day”.
Even so, Jorge Jesus admits that he is “super happy with the success” of Sergio Conceição and that, in the near future, they may even talk again, because “things pass and, the more years of experience I have, the more life teaches me that it leads to nothing, but the truth is that we never spoke again,” pointed out the former Benfica coach.
