President Jair Bolsonaro arrives at event in Brasilia
Jair Bolsonaro’s (PL) controversial meeting with ambassadors at the Alvorada Palace last Monday (18) continues to have repercussions in Brasilia. According to columnist Carla Araújo, from the website UOL, the Armed Forces were called to the event, but all the guests refused.

General Marco Antônio Freire Gomes, from the Army; Admiral de Esquadra Almir Ganier Santos, from the Navy; and Lieutenant Brigadier Carlos de Almeida Baptista Junior, from the Air Force, were invited to the meeting. All, however, declined because the Armed Forces do not want to be linked to President Bolsonaro’s speech.
