The newspaper “El Confidencial” once again made public conversations held by Luis Rubiales, president of the Royal Spanish Federation, this time involving Sergio Ramos. According to their content, the centre-back, then at Real Madrid and now at PSG, will have asked the manager for help to win the Ballon d’Or in 2020.
“Ruby, good night. I hope you are well with your family. You know I’ve never asked you for anything, but if I do it today it’s because I think it’s a special year, because of the time I had. I would like you to help me in any way you can, to touch some keys at UEFA and with your contacts, because of the Ballon d’Or. I would be grateful to you all my life, not just for me, but also because I think Spanish football deserves it. A hug”, the Spanish international wrote on WhatsApp.
The answer would have been the following: “Hello Sergio. First of all congratulations, I think it’s a good year for you to achieve it. I hope they manage to make a magnificent final in the Champions League. The Ballon d’Or issue is not up to me, but whatever I can help with, count on me. A big hug”.
