Exports of goods from Portuguese-speaking countries to Macau in the first five months of the year rose 35 percent compared to the same period in 2021, according to official data released today Lusa
The value exported by Portuguese-speaking countries to the Chinese special administrative region between January and May was 372 million patacas (43.5 million euros), according to the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC).

The amount of goods imported from Macau by the Portuguese-speaking bloc grew 103.4 percent year on year, standing at 850,000 patacas (99.5 thousand euros).
In May, the latest month under review, Macau posted a trade deficit of 10.9 billion patacas (1.28 billion euros).
