Sex outside of marriage could be worth seven years in prison at the 2022 World Cup

The 2022 World Cup hasn’t started yet, but it has already started and continues to make a lot of ink flow. As reported by the Supreme Committee of Qatar, this country is “conservative and public displays of affection are frowned upon regardless of sexual orientation”. However, for this reason, there are many questions that are being raised.

In England, the Daily Star newspaper warned supporters that they could face a seven-year prison sentence if they have a sexual encounter outside of marriage in Qatar.

“Sex is off the menu unless you come as husband and wife. There will definitely be no one-night stands at Worlds, there will be no parties. Everyone should keep a cool head, unless they want to risk going to prison,” a police source told the British newspaper, adding that “there is a sex ban at the World Cup for the first time in history.”

A valuable piece of information for those who don’t want to “get in the way”, even though Al-Khater, president of the organizing committee, has already declared that everyone who wants to watch the games live will be safe, whatever their sexual orientation or culture.
