Vitinha was linked to Arsenal yesterday and, according to the Mirror newspaper, the midfielder’s €40 million clause “can be considered a bargain, given his age and potential”.
The alleged interest of the “gunners” arose on the day that THE GAME became aware of the interest of some of the European giants, willing to beat the termination clause. Information that had an impact abroad, namely in Spain and England, which is understandable, considering that the Portuguese international was appointed to Barcelona and Manchester United.
The news, however, left FC Porto fans worried. In social networks and forums linked to the club, a wave of contestation over the possible sale of the midfielder quickly emerged, with many Porto players asking SAD to renew the contract and increase the clause. There were even those who suggested that it was for numbers higher than those of Pedri, Barcelona midfielder, who is “stuck” for a billion euros!
