Angola dismantles trafficking network linked to Portugal and Brazil

The Angolan authorities dismantled an international drug trafficking network, which included a Portuguese, following a recent seizure of cocaine from Brazil at Luanda’s international airport.

Speaking to Angola Public Television (TPA), the director of the institutional communication and press office of the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), superintendent Manuel Halaiwa, said that the seven men, aged between 26 and 40 years, were detained in last Thursday, in the urban district of Palanca (Luanda).

The network had branches in Brazil, Portugal, Angola and the Democratic Republic of Congo, he said.
