Three billion euros arrive in Portugal tomorrow from the European Commission

The money from the European Commission arrives this Tuesday in Portugal and is intended to help workers and companies affected by covid-19.

Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, announced this Monday in an interview with RTP that this Tuesday Portugal will receive three billion euros related to European funds to help workers and companies, in what is the answer to the economic crisis caused by the covid-19 pandemic.

“I have good news for Portugal, because, starting tomorrow, Portugal will receive the first tranche of the aid program, which will put three billion at the disposal of Portugal”, Van Leyen started by saying, adding that the program is “for companies do not put employees on layoff, even if there is not enough work, keep them in companies ”.
