Funeral home director fires employee who took photo next to Maradona’s body
A man identified as Diego Molina was fired from the funeral home where he works after taking a photo next to Maradona’s body inside the coffin.
The owner of the argentine funeral home apologized to Maradona’s family and said that the employee identified as Diego Molina was “fired immediately”, in an interview on the website of the broadcaster Todo Noticias, of the Clarín group.
In the image, Molina appears with one hand in the forehead of Diego Maradona and the other hand making a positive sign. The image went viral in a group of whatsapp, which provoked the outrage of the lawyer of the argentine idol Matías Morla, who did not let the moment go by.
“Given the viralization of an image of Diego on his deathbed, I will personally take care of finding the scoundrel who took that photo. All those responsible for such an act of cowardice will pay ”, he began, later publishing some data from Molina.
“Diego Molina is the scoundrel who took a photo next to Diego Maradona’s coffin. For my friend’s memory, I won’t rest until he pays for such an aberration. ”
Maradona died at age 60 on Wednesday (25) after suffering a cardiac arrest at home in the city of Tigre. The funeral ceremony was held in Buenos Aires.
