More than 800 elected candidates are investigated for emergency aid fraud

At least 883 candidates elected in the elections last Sunday (15) are suspected of receiving individual emergency aid from the federal government. They are part of a Federal Court of Auditors (TCU) list that includes 42 candidates for mayor, 86 for deputy mayor and 755 for alderman. The information is from UOL.

Among the elected candidates is the mayor elected in Canutama (AM). Zé Roberto received the benefit, despite having declared assets of R$ 535 thousand.

The Court said that candidates may have been victims of fraud and that they may have made mistakes in their property declaration that was sent to the Electoral Court. Despite the caveats, the TCU has determined the blocking of payments until everything is determined.
