China supports Macau and Hong Kong “in carrying out appropriations and cooperating with the rest of the world”, but will “resolutely prevent and frustrate all external functions from interfering in the country’s internal affairs”.
This is what, according to the official Xinhua agency, refers to the full text of the proposals of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China for the five-year plan between 2021 and 2025 and the long-term plan until 2035.
According to the state press, the document also calls for “efforts to promote greater patriotism and a stronger sense of national identity among the people of Hong Kong and Macao”.
