After a first supply of 100 kilos of masks to Porto, the equivalent cargo will arrive every month in Portugal, also in Lisbon and in the south of the country, according to the Macau 853 factory, the first to obtain the European Union registration
The face mask boxes of the Macau 853 Macanese factory have a special version in Portuguese. Angel Lai, public relations officer at the Macau 853 factory, told Plataforma that after a first supply of 100 kilos of masks to Porto “from next week we will send 100 kilos of masks every month to Portugal, depending on the epidemiological evolution”.
Macau 853, the first factory in Macau to obtain European Union registration, will distribute the 100 kilos of monthly masks “also for Lisbon and the south of Portugal”. The unit signed “a long-term contract with a Portuguese company” for the monthly supply of masks to Portugal.
“Portugal is our first destination in Europe. Macau and Portugal have always had a special relationship with each other. That is why we treat Portugal as a very important market in which we are now working to promote more with our supplier in the country ”, said Angel Lai.
“Our next destination is Spain and other European areas. We made a face mask box in a special Portuguese version for Portugal and we will probably make a box in Spanish version after everything is confirmed ”. The masks of Macau 853 were already available in some Portuguese pharmacies and hospitals, but from now on the distribution will be much wider with the significant monthly charge that will reach Portugal.
It is a way for Macau to “help Portugal face Covid-19”, as concluded by Angel Lai. The message in Portuguese in the mask box that the Portuguese will receive says it all: “Strength Portugal, we will always be by your side. Kisses, Macau ”.
