A high school student at a school in Nashville, United States of America, was identified in the caption of the school yearbook only as “Black Guy”.
According to the NY Post, the photo was of a basketball team at Brown County High School, which is predominantly white. In the legend, all the players have their names described, except the black boy. An investigation has already been opened to study the case.
“We are trying to better understand what this situation is about,” said superintendent of municipal schools, Laura Hammack, who said school officials spent the day with the student’s family to support and fix what she called “violation of our non-discrimination policy ”.
