Paulo Jorge Espírito Santo will be the new deputy secretary-general of Forum Macau, TDM-Rádio Macau learns.
Born in São Tomé and Princípe and career ambassador, he will replace Rodrigo Brum, who ended his term at the end of August. Paulo Jorge Espírito Santo, who has already arrived in Macau, will represent the Portuguese-speaking countries.
Next week the annual meeting of the Forum will take place in Macau, where the replacement of the representative of the Portuguese-speaking countries will be formalized, which is chosen on a rotating basis every three years.
In Macau will be the ambassadors of the countries that make up the organization.
José Augusto Duarte, Portuguese ambassador to Beijing arrives in Macau next Monday and will maintain contacts with local authorities and the Portuguese community, in addition to participating in Forum meetings, at the opening of the week in China and Portuguese-speaking countries and also at the Macau International Fair.
It is recalled that Forum Macau is also without secretary general, since Xu Yingzhen left office in September after four years at the helm.
