Manchester United’s interest in the defender is real and to prove this the England emblem sent this week an offer to FC Porto, of ten million euros by Alex Telles, plus bonuses for certain goals.
FC Porto rejected it by one of the most important players in the team, but Manchester United tried to make it clear that within four months the player will be able to sign for another emblem at zero cost, given that the contract ends in June 2021.
Sources close to the process also revealed to Plataforma that, despite wanting Alex Telles, Manchester United does not desperately need a left back, hence they understand that the offer of 10 million euros for a 27-year-old defender who is about to end his contract be enough.
The conversations, according to the information collected, will continue, not least because FC Porto, in order to attack the market (ends next Tuesday, October 6th), need to sell to balance the budget. The blues and whites ask for at least 20 million for the departure of the Brazilian international defender, but so far no offer within that amount has arrived, Plataforma knows.

And if Manchester United has already made an offer, rival Manchester City, who this week hired Portuguese Rúben Dias, has already asked Alex Telles’ manager for information about the deal, Plataforma knows.
It cannot yet be considered a serious interest, but the truth is that Pep Guardiola is looking to the market for a solution to the left side of his defense. The first contacts have already been made, and there may be news in the coming days.
