Hidden Debts: Guebuza will be heard by the Attorney General’s Office of the Mozambican Republic

Former President of Mozambique Armando Guebuza will be heard, in data not yet provided, by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) in a case related to the hidden debt scandal, advances or “O País” newspaper.

The recovered diary that Guebuza has already promised to clarify, however he complained that he is being the victim of an attempted political assassination. The newspaper even quotes the former President: “We will provide the requested clarifications, without, however, letting our suspicion remain in relation to the constant and unformed performance of the Attorney General’s Office”.

Guebuza also pointed the finger at the country’s investigative authorities, especially the prosecutor’s office, which he says he has “lack of confidence”. Such distrust stems, among other factors, from the mention of his name in a process that the PGR is moving in London, also related to hidden debts, in which the former statesman must be heard.

In this regard, Guebuza said that “it is strange that our Attorney General’s Office preferred to cross sub-Saharan Africa, the Sahara Desert, the Mediterranean Sea, continental Europe and the English Channel, to obtain clarifications from a citizen national and resident here ”.
