Bié Hospital inaugurated by João Lourenço costed 48 million euros

The new General Hospital of Bié, called Walter Strangway, inaugurated yesterday by the President of the Republic, costed the Angolan State 48,677. 650 million euros

The hospital has an installed capacity of 230 beds to provide 20 specialized and complementary services. It is equipped with modern means and high technology. It has more than 1,000 professionals, 779 of whom were transferred from the previous hospital.

The other employees, in a total of 297, were hired through a public exam held last year. The Minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, affirmed that it is a hospital structure that has the characteristics and values ​​that constitute yet another concrete example of the Government’s strong commitment to improving the provision of health services in the country. “The Executive is working so that the population has not only access to health care and services, but that these are provided with quality, to save lives,” she guaranteed.
