The president of the National Liberation Front of Angola (FNLA), Lucas Ngonda, decided yesterday to remove Pedro Mocombe Dala, from the post of secretary-general of the party, for alleged betrayal of the pact of unity and reconciliation with a view to the reunification of all wings of the political organization created by Holden Roberto

In the place of Pedro Dala, Lucas Ngonda temporarily indicated Aguiar António Laurindo. The FNLA leader made this statement during a press conference, the subject of which no member of the board was aware of, until the president announced the departure of Pedro Dala, astonishing those present, including the secretary general himself.

Lucas Ngonda claimed that the secretary-general created a group for the removal of the FNLA president, who would be replaced by Pedro Dala. “The secretary general has been working to undermine the reputation of the president himself. There is another project that has nothing to do with the party leadership, ”he said.
