In June, Chinese airlines were threatened by Trump that they could be banned from traveling to and from the United States. The opposite is happening: the four Chinese companies operating to the USA were authorized by the US government to double the number of flights
The number of flights between China and the United States will double in August, according to the United States Department of Transportation (DOT) and the China State Civil Aviation Administration (CAAC).
A DOT order announced on Tuesday said that “the four Chinese airlines that currently operate scheduled passenger services to the United States have been authorized to increase their services to eight weekly round-trip flights.” On Monday, CAAC, for its part, said that Delta Air Lines and United Airlines in the US could double their weekly services to China for two round-trip flights.
