Left-wing groups initiative launches names for elections that oppose the evangelical front of Congress
Left-wing evangelicals came together to promote progressive candidacies and offer an alternative to those who share the same faith, but disagree with the conservative flags of the Evangelical Parliamentary Front of Congress, the evangelical bench.
Launched in early July by eight middle leaders, the Popular Evangelical Bench defends public policies against social inequality and for peace, like Jesus Christ. Religion, however, should be left out of the mandates, since the movement defends the secular state, say the members.
