Lawyers for Huawei’s chief financial officer, arrested in Canada at the request of the United States, demanded on Monday the publication of documents from the secret services that show, they said, that her client’s rights were violated during her arrest.
Meng Wanzhou was detained by the police on December 1, 2018, during a layover at Vancouver Airport, after the US justice accused her of circumventing Washington’s sanctions against Iran.
Her lawyers said on Monday, at the beginning of a new week of court hearings in Vancouver, that her client was the victim of a plot between the FBI and Canadian officials.
